FAQ
Is there a limit on the number of outfits I can bring?
There is, as many as you can carry.
The more choices you have the better it is to coordinate your clothing with various backgrounds.
We may not use all of them all, but it's better to have them rather than saying "I wish I would have
brought that outfit!" Usually we use 3-4 outfits in a session. The more time you spend changing,
the less time we have to photograph you. I will help you make the best choices.
Hair... How you normally ware your hair, this is not the time to try a new hair style.
Nails... Your hands will be in your portraits. Make sure your nails are clean.
Tops... You can add sweaters or jackets.
Make Up... Girls, an extra application of mascara and bring powder and lipstick for touch ups.
Brow and Facial Hair... Please remove any unwanted brow and facial hair. Guys have a fresh clean
shave.
Tanning... Don't go tanning the day of your photo session. Also avoid being overly tanned for your
skin type, it adds weight to your face. Also avoid sunburns, uneven spray tans and tan lines.
Glasses... Have your lenses removed from your glasses.
What about clothing suggestions? Can I bring my sports equipment or band instrument?
Definitely bring everything!
Some ideas are your letterman jacket, sports uniform, band uniform, cheer leading outfit, Boy/Girl
Scout uniform you can even bring your prom or homecoming dress. Also bring along sunglasses,
a jeans jacket, your leather coat, hats, umbrellas, scarves, anything that helps me portray who you
are and what you do.
Can I bring a friend or my mom with me to help with my hair, make-up, etc.
Absolutely! I actually like to have someone accompany us during the photo shoot. They are a
second set of eyes to help make sure you are looking your very best. Plus if you bring a friend they
can be in a few of your pictures.
Can I bring my pet with me?
Sure! Cat, dog, horse, ferret, lizard. They are all welcome. I do require that any animal brought to a
photo is up to date on all their vaccines. It is best to have someone bring your pet to your photo
shoot for the limited time that we'll need to work with him or her instead of being there the entire
time. Contact us to discuss what you had in mind and tell me a little about your pet, and we'll work
out the details.
What if I get a "BIG" Zit?
Everyone has days with less than perfect skin. I'll digitally retouch and take care of any problem.
What about the weather? Should I reschedule?
Call to check with us. In most cases, cloudy weather is not a problem at all and in fact, can provide
with great soft lighting. If there is a downpour, we'll see if we can do you indoor session first.
Either way, call to check with us
